Hi.

I’m Chas, the creator and writer of All The Guitar Lessons. I’ve been playing guitar for more than 20 years now and generally enjoy it. I also play a bit of piano as well. I started this website because I think guitars are pretty rad and I like talking about them.

I’ll be the first one to say that I’m in no way an expert at guitar. I think I’m relatively good at guitar, but also reckon I should be better at it considering how long I’ve been playing. The guitar never came naturally to me, I’ve had to practice. All that being said, I’ve had lessons and also used various online resources to get better and learn more about the guitar and how to play the guitar. And that’s where this website comes in.

This website is less about me teaching you to play guitar and more about me sharing resources on playing the guitar. Sure, there are articles on music theory, how to play guitar chords, scales, and all that. But there are just as many articles about where to find information and generally sharing information that I find useful. For example, if I find a cool video about how to do something, I’ll whack it on this website with some thoughts on it. There’s a million and one people out there teaching guitar online, and they do a cracker job, so why make another video on how to play guitar when I make a library of what already exists. That’s what I’m here for.

When I’m not here writing about guitar, I also like making guitar pedals. I also run an Australian digital marketing agency. For those who like a drink, I’ve also created a cool cocktail recipe search engine which can be used to find what cocktail you can make with the ingredients you have. I also occasionally work on my beer blog, but not quite as much as other sites.
